Ambivert is a band made up of two self taught, outsider artists from Seattle. They frighten listeners with unexpected noises interspersed with tranquil ambient tones to create a sonic landscape that is maximally dense in its texture. Ambivert puts on potentially libelous, disruptive, chaotic live shows, as a thriving member of their local subgenre.
First Drone is Ambivert’s breakout debut full length record, following on the completely ignored release of their introductory EP, “Two Man Band”, being put out through Seattle’s For The Records. All of these songs were recorded painstakingly in assorted locations, making reproduction of these songs in a live setting next to impossible. The songs are about creating a subversive landscape and a world that lives on it’s own, creating an aural link between the distant past and the tenuous future.
Ambivert is an instrumental ambient music band comprised of multi-instrumentalists Kio Forsyth and Matt Jasper, based out of Seattle, Washington.
